the Soaring Night

by Victoria Goldman

Inspired by Duy Huynh by Unknown

there she was

soaring from the ground

aimlessly through the night

with a teddy bear in her hand

as the pale crescent moon

shone like a silvery claw

her turquoise drees touches her ankles,

soft and soothing wind as the breath of spring,

the glimpse of the scattered moondust in the sky

only she and her favorite bear

flying through life with no hesitation

reaching for nothingness

only she and her favorite bear,

hoping to find her long-lost friend

but it was all a dream
